If you want a simple, easily doable way to both change your life for the better and feel more adept at navigating stressful times, pay careful attention to what you feed your mind.
One of the most common things that people do to feed (or perhaps more accurately, poison) their minds is mindless, habitual consumption of the news.
I say poison because what passes for “the news” in most of the media is really just a litany of everything that is wrong in the world. And feeding your mind a steady diet of what’s wrong not only colors your outlook on the world negatively, it can also make you feel more anxious, more depressed, and more hopeless.
It’s like opening up your head and pouring toxins into your brain that corrode your well-being.
Fortunately, with a little effort and intention, we can look beyond the standard junk news fare to find news that motivates, inspires, and uplifts us. It just takes a little (OK, a lot) more work to find it.
To make it easier, here are several news sources geared specifically to what’s good in the world, what’s working, and what’s possible.
